Frontier Hires Project Manager, Promotes Two Superintendents

Frontier Construction, a Chicago-based commercial general contractor, announced it has hired a project manager and promoted two superintendents. The personnel include:

 

Thomas Granko, Superintendent / Project Manager

Thomas Granko brings over 20 years of commercial construction and project management experience to his new role as Superintendent/Project Manager at Frontier.  Prior to joining Frontier, Granko gained well-rounded construction experience through years of employment at Anning-Johnson, Executive Construction and Janecyk Construction. Earlier in his career, he was Director of In-House Services for United Airlines and Supervisor of Facilities at Pronger Smith Medical Care.  Currently he is focused on managing projects and developing relationships in the healthcare division. He has a Bachelor’s of Science in Industrial Engineering from Illinois State University and an honorable discharge from the Navy.

Thomas enjoys spending time with his family, traveling and fixing cars.

 

Jeff Arcand, Superintendent

Jeff Arcand has been promoted to Superintendent at Frontier Construction. Since joining the Frontier team in 2005 as a carpenter apprentice, he worked his way to journeyman and foreman participating in 51 projects in the Chicago area until being promoted to his current role as superintendent. Most notably, he successfully ran all on-site activities at the Homewood-Flossmoor High School Television Studio & FM Broadcasting Project in 2012. Arcand is currently in charge of managing a 10,500 sq. ft. addition and renovation project for a private healthcare client in Chicago’s south side.

Jeff was awarded Frontier's first ever Cornerstone Award in May of 2012 for his exceptional demonstration of his commitment to Frontier's Core Values, Core Focus and achievement of its strategic goals.

 

George Gardner, Superintendent

George Gardner has been promoted to Superintendent at Frontier Construction. Since joining the Frontier team in 2007, he has worked as a journeyman and foreman carpenter on 19 projects in the Chicago area including projects at Advocate Health Care and Lewis University. Bringing over 15 years of construction experience to his new position, Gardner will hold a more integral role in planning, managing and delivering construction projects. He is currently managing all on-site activities at a ground-up, 10,000 sq. ft. healthcare treatment facility in Chicago’s south suburbs.

George has been working with computers since he was 13 years old and has completed 4 years of Systems Analyst coursework at Purdue University Calumet. He enjoys bicycle riding, playing guitar, tinkering with electronics and designing webpages.
